General Announcements
- Attention all students enrolled in Co-op Education 12 for next year: Please be sure to sign up for your interview at the front desk in the office. Interviews will take place with Ms. Munro and Kira, Ms. Sexton, on Thursday, May 21st and Friday, May 22nd in the Conference Room (located by Rhonda and Vance’s desk). Extra applications are available next to the interview sign-up sheets as well. Make sure to sign up as soon as possible! Thank you!
- Congratulations to Faith Blanchard, Claire Hand, Judah Martin, Eden McGreevy, Ben Nathanson, Addison Park, and Lucy Smolenaars for going undefeated and bringing home the trophy in the annual French Trivia Challenge Face aux Questions!
Student Services Announcements
- Grads, the Horton General for bursaries and scholarships are now posted in the classroom. All grads are encouraged to fill this out by June 5th.
Clubs and Activities Announcements
- Pride Club meets today in room 2014.
- Horton Christian Fellowship – Today at Lunch in room 2112. Everyone Welcome!
- The Horton team of Ethan Spindler, Kevin Ren, Charlie Laceby, and William Keppie competed at the Acadia Fundy Math league yesterday and earned first place! They scored an impressive 118 out of 120 possible points and won both relay events. Congratulations! Music Dept Announcements
- Tomorrow, Concert Band will rehearse in the morning, followed by a Music Executive meeting at lunch.
Athletics Announcements
- Good luck to the Boys rugby team as they head to Parkview this afternoon to wrap up regular season play. The boys will be departing at lunchtime.
- On Saturday, Jerry travelled to Musquodoboit to compete in table tennis provincials. He went undefeated until he reached the final where he faced a very talented opponent. Jerry came up just short but made Horton proud by winning a provincial silver medal. Way to go Jerry!
- Congratulations to Gwyn Galloway for winning the league scoring title and being named MVP of the league in hockey and . Arlo Kelday was also the top scorer for the league for Boys hockey . Their hardware will be on display in the trophy cabinet. Amazing seasons!
- The Boys softball team won a tight game 12-11 yesterday in Port Williams. Nate “Dawg” Betts pitched the complete game and had 2 hits. Arlo “Krusher” Kelday had 3 hits including the walk off inside the park homerun. Isaac “Diesel” Davison, Colby “Cannon” Spidle and Shay “Outlaw” Smith had 2 hits. The boys take on West Kings today after school in Port Williams.
This is a warning to all those who have used water guns in school. If you are seen squirting water guns in school at all you will have a bounty on you meaning anyone can get you.
