Athletics Announcements
I’m sure many of you know me by now, but my name is Alana Bent, and I am currently your Student Council President.
I want to take a moment to say a huge thank you to everyone who has made my years at Horton so special, especially all of you this year. Whether you’re a student or a staff member, you have made an impact, and I am incredibly grateful for that.
As this is our last day of school, I want to congratulate each and every one of you on your accomplishments and for making it here today. I know that some days it’s hard to get out of bed and come to school, but the fact that you’re here matters more than you know.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for making my high school experience so memorable. In fact, I’m leaving feeling more sad than happy because of how much this school and all of you have meant to me.
To the Grade 9s and 10s: your high school years will go by faster than you think. Make the most of them, get involved, and don’t take them for granted.
And to the Grade 11s: congratulations—you are now the top dogs! Enjoy every moment of your final year. Make memories, take opportunities, and cherish the time you have left, because it goes by in the blink of an eye.
Thank you again, Horton, for everything. It has truly been an unforgettable journey.
