The Horton Griffins cross country team continued to establish themselves as one of the elite schools in the province when it comes to distance running.Ā
At the Regional Meet in New Minas on October 14th, the Griffins captured 3 of the 4 available team banners. Here are the results:

The Griffins competed in the Provincial Meet on October 20th, also held in New Mias and had some great results:
The Intermediate girls were led by a 6th place finish from Leighton Rafuse to place the team 5th overall.
The Senior girls had a respectable 6th place ranking as Lucy Moore delivered a strong 12th place finish to pace all Griffin runners.
The Senior boys made the podium with a silver medal team effort. The Griffs were led by Milo Stettler in 2nd place and Titouan and Riley McCulloch in 5th and 6th place respectively.
Our Intermediate boys team brought home the Provincial Banner with their first 4 runners placing in the top 15! The provincial champs were led by Jacob Durber’s 2nd place finish followed by Sidon Jensen-Peacock in 6th, Joel dePutter in 7th and Henry Lee in 15th.Ā
