The D1 girls basketball team attended the Auburn tournament this past weekend. The girls started off with a strong showing against FHS on Thursday night. The girls faced off against a tough CPA team Friday afternoon and lost that game but were able to bounce back and come out with a dominant performance vs Woodlawn Fridays evening. Going 2-1 in round robin, sent the girls to the semi-finals. The girls played Leo Hayes in the semis and were able to pull off a team win to send them to the finals. The girls got a re-match vs CPA and started off really strong, but unfortunately ended up losing by 9 in the end. Special shoutout to Isobel MacDonald for her toughness on both ends of the floor, Autumn Kuryluk for her sharp shooting and Julia Akao for her tenacious defence.
