Horton JV Girls Volleyball off to Provincials!!!

The JV Girls Volleyball team has had two exciting weekends, with the Pre-Regionals at Avon View, followed by hosting the JV Western Regionals on Friday and Saturday, Nov 15/16.

The team went undefeated with a 4-0 record at the Pre-Regionals and never lost a set!.  This led to team to hosting the Regionals at Horton.

At the Regionals, the girls won their first 4 games and only losing one set.  This set up a final game against arch rivals, Park View, for the Western Region banner.   It was a very exciting game with a great crowd and the atmosphere was awesome!!! The girls played hard kept it close in both sets, but Park View narrowly took home the banner.  Finishing second earned our team a spot in the JV Girls Provincials.  They are off to Citadel High for Provincials on November 29/30.

Earlier this year, the girls finished second in the West Kings Halloween Tournament, beating several D1 and D2 teams.  This tournament is always a great team building event and the girls always come up with a costume for the contest.  This year was no exception as we dressed up as Minons.

The final league game on Monday, Nov 18th at 4 and 6 in the gym.

It’s been a great season so far and the team plans to keep the momentum going as we represent the Western Region at Provincials.
