The boys then hosted Citadel in a qualifier here at Horton.  The boys played extremely well in a back and forth game.  Kayin Burrell made some terrific saves and Arlo Kelday scored an amazing goal leading the Griffins to a 1-0 win and punch their ticket to Provincials.

At Provincials, Horton played JH Gillis in the semi final.  The game was very physical throughout.  Mario Sanchez opened the scoring for the Griffins on a beautiful shot.  JH Gillis continued to press and eventually got a break to tie the game.  Mario Sanchez was awarded a penalty kick in the second half and made no mistake putting the Griffins up.  Kayin Burrell provided some heroics late as he stopped a penalty kick to ensure the win.

The Griffins were then set to play CP Allen in the final.  Unfortunately for the Griffins, it was not to be.  The team was banged up and were not able to hang with the Cheetahs.  Winning silver is a huge accomplishment for Horton and we are proud of the team.
