The BusPlanner Parent Portal allows families to check their child’s bus information online, including bus route, bus stop times, and bus stop location.Ā
When you log in to BusPlanner Parent Portal, you can also choose to receive text or email notices about your childās bus route, including late bus notices.Ā
How to Access BusPlanner Parent Portal
- If you haveĀ notĀ activated a BusPlanner Parent Portal Account in AVRCE since August 2022, please check your email inbox for a message from AVRCE Transportation or avrce_noreply[at]mybusplanner.caĀ sent after August 21, 2023, which will contain a link to activate your account. This will allow you to set your BusPlanner Parent Portal password and access your bus information online.
- When you receive this email, please click on the link to activate your account and follow the instructions on screen to set your password.Ā A step-by-step picture guide is atĀ www.avrce.ca/activate-busplanner-account
- If you have activated a BusPlanner Parent Portal Account in AVRCE since August 2022 or later, you can log in toĀ BusPlanner Parent PortalĀ anytime. Go toĀ https://avrce.mybusplanner.ca/Ā and click on “Parent Portal” to get started.
How to Get BusPlanner Text and Email Notices for Late Bus, Route Changes
When you log in to BusPlanner Parent Portal to check your child’s bus information, be sure to click on “My Account” to set your preferences for busĀ notices by text or email. BusPlanner text and email notices will let you knowĀ if your child’s bus is running late or if there have been changes to the route.
- You can also get bus notices through theĀ BusPlanner DelaysĀ app. Download it for freeĀ wherever you access apps for your mobile device.

If you have questions about your childās bus information, need help with your BusPlanner Parent Portal account, or your address has changed over the summer, please contact AVRCE Transportation staff atĀ transportation@avrce.caĀ or 902-538-4641. Please include your childās name, civic address, and school name in emails.
Please note:
- We continue to use SchoolMessenger to send emails and texts to parents/guardians for school cancellations, unplanned early dismissals, general information, newsletters, etc. Parents/guardians can opt in to receive SchoolMessenger texts by textingĀ Y to 978338 to start receiving text messages. Your mobile number must be on file at your childās school to receive SchoolMessenger text messages.
- BusPlanner Parent Portal is not connected to the PowerSchool Parent Portal.
- Privacy notice: Your BusPlanner Parent Portal account will show parent/guardian address information that you have provided to your child’s school and/or AVRCE Transportation. Any parent/guardian contacts you have provided to your child’s school may be able to view this address information if they activate a BusPlanner Parent Portal account. Please contact AVRCE Transportation if you have any questions or concerns.Ā
