THE GRADE 9/10 PRINCIPAL’S MEDAL FOR GENERAL EXCELLENCE
Student Application Process – 2026
The Principal’s Medal is awarded annually to two students in grade 9 and 10 who have demonstrated qualities of leadership and service in the school and community, and commendable performance in the courses in which they have enrolled.
A committee of Horton Grade 9/10 teachers will select two recipients for this award that will be presented during the school closing in June.
Students wishing to apply should contact Mr. Routledge at routlejo@gnspes.ca as soon as possible.
A form will be shared with the student to complete if they would like to be nominated for the GRADE 9/10 PRINCIPAL’S AWARD FOR GENERAL EXCELLENCE.
Students will be asked to
- Write a short essay on why they are are good candidate for this award
- Outline their academic standing
- Outline other commendable acts (awards, volunteer tasks etc)
- Describe their school activities
- Describe their communicative activities
The deadline for submission is Friday May 29th at noon.
