There was a lot of volleyball happening over the weekend. 

Our D1 girls VB team represented very well at Regionals, finishing 3-1 after round robin play.  The girls faced upstart Avonview in the semis where they easily handled the girls from Windsor.  In the final the Griffins faced a tough squad from Parkview who were dialed in and eventually took the banner.  The girls now host CPA later this week in a qualifier for Provincials.

The D1 Boys VB team also did well at their Regional in Windsor.  The boys went 2-2 with wins over Parkview and Avonview, but fell to Yarmouth and West Kings to finish third.

The D2 Boys VB team were in Liverpool and finished second in the Region.  The boys had a solid round robin and went on to beat Liverpool in the semi before losing to North Queens 2-1 in the final.  An amazing effort from all the boys.  The team qualifies for Provincials in 2 weeks time.
