Good afternoon Grade 9 students/parents/guardians.
The end of January signals that we are moving into course registration time of the year. Over the next few weeks, Horton will begin to discuss course registration for September 2024-25.
The process begins with a presentation to all Grade 9 classes on February 12th. This presentation will be placed in the Google student classroom. Students can begin to refer to the many posts in the Google classroom to get a better understanding of the scheduling plans and process. Please review this information with your student.

|Mr Routledge will present to all Grade 9 classes.
|Feb 13th -16th
|Mr Routledge will visit all Math 9 classes to answer follow up questions.
|O2 Applications and references are due (Grade 9).
|Mr Routledge will lead the Grade 9 classes through the scheduling worksheet in preparation for registration. (These will be saved with the Math teachers for registration day)
|Grade 9 students will select their course with their math teachers.
For each student to graduate they must complete 1 math credit at each grade 10, 11, and 12. Selecting their Math pathway is an important decision entering grade 10. Students are asked to engage in discussions with their Math teacher to review any questions about the attached Math Pathways document.
Math courses are organized into 3 different pathways. When choosing a pathway, you should consider your mathematical knowledge and background interests, and future education and career paths. Math teachers will be reviewing this document with classes in preparation for their math course selection. Please review and reach out with any questions.
