Here is a weekend recap for the D1 girls bball team!

The girls travelled to North Nova this weekend for the North Nava Winter Classic. They faced a gritty CEC team Friday night and came out on top thanks to Caitlyn Davis’ sharp shooting going 8/13 from the 3 point line. Saturday morning the girls were up against Halifax West. A solid team win with some help from Isobel with her toughness on offence and defence allowed the girls to secure their spot in the finals. The girls took on the home team, North Nova in the finals. Being down 12 going into the 4th quarter, the girls brought it defensively and offensively to send the game to overtime. The griffins got some solid stops and were composed on offence and were able to bring home the win. Rachel was key with her tough on ball defence in the girls victory!

The girls are back in action on Tuesday when they host Yarmouth for a league game at 6pm. Let’s pack the gym!
