D1 girls basketball team recap from the coaches

The D1 girls basketball team had a competitive weekend with 3 games against some of the provinces best teams. The griffins fell short to Armbrae on Friday. Isobel MacDonald and Ali Oluyole both had standout games. The griffins then travelled to Grammar and faced an extremely skilled team. Oakley Yeaton played tough for the griffins with lots of hustle and great box outs. Sunday the girls bounced back against a talented Citadel team and came out with a gritty 6 point win. Eva O’Brien was tough on defence and made great decisions on offence. The girls are back in action next weekend in Fredericton at the Leo Hayes Lions Den tournament!!
