The time is upon us to start thinking about Horton Holiday Hoorah….do you know that we are in our 17th season of this friendly competition with CK?
For those not familiar, this friendly competition is to support community food banks in our area. Classes within the school compete to see which class can bring in the greatest number per capita. Students and staff will collect hygiene products, non-perishable foods, and pet food to donate to the food banks of Kentville, Wolfville and Hantsport.
Food insecurity is a growing problem in our community, province and country. I’ve included a link if you wish to explore this further. This is an opportunity to encourage students to be agents of change.
Parents, families, and members of the public who wish to help can reach out to the school at 902-542-6060, so send items into the school with your student. Collection will start on Dec 2nd.
